As the Deputy Dean of Teaching & Learning and Professor in Pharmacology, Professor Steenkamp has not only excelled in academia but also demonstrated the transformative potential of research. Her specialisation in traditional herbal medicine and toxicology has brought her to the forefront of innovative research, exploring treatments for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, antimicrobial therapies, wound healing, and anti-cancer remedies.
