Fulbright Foreign Student Program: Applications Are Open Until 20 April

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. The Program was created in 1946 under legislation introduced by Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. Since its inception, more than 380,000 Fulbrighters from over 160 countries have participated in the exchange. Fulbright Alumni continue to advance critical priorities around the world as innovators, activists, policy-makers, researchers and teachers; pursuing ground-breaking work in the STEM fields, social sciences, humanities and the arts. To date, the Fulbright Program has produced 84 Pulitzer Prize recipients, 59 Nobel Prize Laureates, 37 Heads of State or Government; and 16 U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients.
