All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum
Dear All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum participant
Thank you for engaging at the All-Atlantic Ocean Research, which took place virtually on 3-4 December 2020, co-hosted by the South African Department of Science & Innovation together with the European Commission, DG for Research and Innovation.
The forum brought together a variety of stakeholders across disciplines and institutions, including from the All-Atlantic partners. It also saw the launch of the new cohort of All-Atlantic Ocean Youth Ambassadors, as well as the Joint Actions that will support the long-term implementation of the Galway and Belém Statement, with structuring effects on the All-Atlantic Community.
As we continue to engage on the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance, there are platforms that provide information to researchers, communities, youth, policy-makers as well as global and regional initiatives, to network, discuss synergies and create new conversations going forward.

Furthermore, the AANChOR Coordination and Support Action would like to kindly invite all participants of the 3rd All-Atlantic Ocean Research Forum to contribute to the “All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance Joint Actions - Open Call for Contributions" that was mentioned at the Forum. The aim of this Open Call is to connect existing institutions and other initiatives working in a complementary way with the aim to avoid duplication of work and waste of resources.
The current open call for collaboration intends to start connecting interested stakeholders at the Atlantic level with the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance Joint Actions. By filling in the survey you express your interest in knowing more and collaborating with the respective(s) Joint Action. In addition, we will gain a better understanding of which tools or instruments you have in your institution or initiative that could contribute to strengthening the Atlantic marine research and innovation cooperation in each of the Joint Actions.
