The Water Resources Course

The Water Resources Course covering the Water Resources of South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland Project (WR2012) as well as the rainfall-runoff computer model WRSM/Pitman (which is widely used throughout Africa) has now been registered with SACNASP and will count for 2 CPD points towards continued SACNASP registration.

The course presenters are Allan Bailey – water resources consultant (Pr Eng) and Kerry Grimmer – GIBB (Pr.Sci.Nat).

The 2 day course involves presentations on general water resources, demonstrations of the WR2012 website and the use of available information, WRSM/Pitman Model demonstration using the Olifants catchment as a case study and hands-on tutorials. Additionally, there is an overview of other water resources models which are interlinked with the Pitman Model.

The course dates have been set for 7 and 8 October in Midrand. The cost is R3300 (early bird before 20 Sep) or R3600 (after that and before 4 Oct).
