1st  Africa Energy Materials Conference

We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract to present your work in this important continental scientific event.

University of Pretoria Conference Centre, Pretoria, South Africa
28 - 31 March 2017

The conference aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing as well as creating favorable atmosphere for collaboration initiations.

The meeting will have contributions under the themes of:

  • Hydrogen and fuel cell technologies
  • Energy storage technologies
  • Renewable energy technologies
  • Other energy related materials

AEM-2017 provides a platform for scholars and researchers from the African continent and also the rest of the world to present their latest progress and developments in their fields.

The presentations will be, amongst others, in the following specialized fields:

  • Material design
  • Synthesis
  • Characterization
  • Modifications/functionalization
  • Energy applications

The conference programme will be aligned with the internationally accepted formatting that includes: keynote/plenary addresses plus invited speakers, oral and student poster presentations. Invitations will be given for full paper submissions to be published in a supporting high impact international peer-reviewed journal, for selected contributions.

22 August 2016 – Abstract submission opens
21 Jan 2017 – Abstract submission deadline
31 Jan 2017 – Feedback for submitted abstract will be conveyed by this date

Select outstanding contributions will be invited to submit full papers to Materials Today: Proceedings (an Elsevier published journal). The manuscripts will undergo the normal peer-review process and it is expected that the accepted papers will be published shortly after the conference.
